Prof. Martin Lettau honored for quantitative finance research

Berkeley Haas Prof. Martin Lettau has been awarded the 2019 Roger F. Murray Prize for outstanding research from The Institute for Quantitative Research in Finance (The Q Group).

Lettau, the Kruttschnitt Family Chair in Financial Institutions, received the first-place honor for his presentation of “Factors That Fit Time Series and Cross-Section of Stock Returns,” a paper published in the Review of Financial Studies.

The Q Group is the leading industry organization that connects quantitative finance professionals with academic research in the interest of advancing the practice of global investment management. The Roger F. Murray Prize recognizes outstanding research presented at The Q Group’s semi-annual seminars.

Lettau, a member of the Berkeley Haas Finance Group, studies financial economics, asset pricing, and investments.
